St. Giles Living Centers, Inc. was founded in 1991 by Jim Hazen and Al Strickland, in order to provide higher quality services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We strive to create a living and working environment where we are proud to bring our families, and that strives to maximize individual happiness and lifetime fulfillments.
We believe first in the dignity of all individuals. It adheres to the philosophy that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the right and opportunity to care and treatment which enables them to reach their fullest potential and to enjoy a productive and independent life.
The mission of St. Giles is to enable people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.
Our roots go back to 1991 when St. Giles Living Centers, Inc. began serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Lufkin, Texas.
Initially, we started with intermediate care facility (ICF) programs, and then expanded into the home- and community-based services (HCS) and Texas Home Living. Now, as part of the Caregiver, Inc. family of care, we provide services throughout East and Southeast Texas.
